Mental Health Promotion
The HSE Centre for Psychological Counselling provides free counselling for students and staff and encourages them to seek help with their most immediate concerns. The Centre also promotes mental health and organises mental health events (Mental Health Spring, Mental Health Day, Welcome Week).
There is a psychological counselling hotline for students at HSE University.
Seminars, workshops and individual consultations on mental health and mental wellness are held at the university.
HSE Community Emotional Support is a volunteer peer-to-peer mental health support project.
Social Aid
The university implements the ‘Social Lift’ project, which aims at making HSE education more accessible to socially vulnerable demographics.
The HSE ‘Situation Centre’ was initiated by students with the aim of supporting both students and staff through trying times. Over 100 volunteers offer legal consultations, handle calls and letters, process individual requests, organise educational consultations on legal matters, and disseminate information about student support within the university. This approach is being widely adopted by Russian universities.
